Bespoke Design
From Vision To Heirloom
Each bespoke Katsaun piece begins with your story. Through a collaborative design process, Kathryn works closely with you to translate meaning into form—whether it’s reimagining an heirloom, celebrating a milestone, or creating something entirely new. Together, you’ll explore materials, finishes, and design details that hold personal significance, ensuring every element feels intentional and enduring. Every custom piece is crafted with care, made to be worn, cherished, and passed down as a modern heirloom.

Receiving Your
CAD Design
Each bespoke piece begins with selecting a form that holds your story. From doors that mark transformation to books that honor memory, each design becomes a vessel for personal meaning. Charms and Mahjong tiles add layers of symbolism, transforming sentiment into wearable art. Through thoughtful guidance, Kathryn helps you find the form that speaks most clearly to your story, ensuring every piece feels intimate, intentional, and entirely your own.
When you share your narrative with Kathryn, it becomes the foundation for design—memories, milestones, and personal symbols translated into form. Signature pieces like Doors and Books are designed as lockets, opening to reveal interiors filled with meaning, allowing each charm to tell a story unique to you. From these to Mahjong tiles and charms, every detail is guided by your narrative.
Once your story and form have been defined, the next step in the bespoke process is receiving your CAD design—a detailed, three-dimensional digital rendering of your piece. This model allows you to see every angle, proportion, and detail before it is crafted, ensuring the design fully captures your vision. It is also an opportunity to make refinements, from subtle adjustments in texture to the placement of symbolic elements. The CAD stage typically takes 2–3 weeks, after which your design moves into the creation of a tangible, handcrafted piece that brings your story to life.
